My Uber drivers last night reminded me of some important things.
The first driver reminded me that I am pretty successful in my work. I'm in Dallas working with a regular client and earning good money. I don't have to drive an Uber to make ends meet.
My second driver was a very nice guy from Iran. His name was Hussein. He's here driving Uber, but has advanced degrees in electrical engineering from Iran. He came here to find meaningful work, but is driving Uber to make ends meet. His wife and 4 1/2 year old son are back in Iran. He reminded me that all the good job things I have is because I work hard. And good things come to people who have a goal and are willing to work hard.
